Today is my last day at Luang Prabang. I had my last Laos noodles soup at a regular family stall. The lady recognised me. After I finished my meal, I said ‘Goodbye to her and I will be heading to Vang Vieng this afternoon.’ She gave me three pieces of banana and wished me ‘good luck’.
I know there are only bananas not expensive gift. Behind those bananas, the meaning is priceless. It is how we treat people with sincerity and respect. I ate those bananas while I was on my way to Vang Vieng. They tasted good. It is a blessing we still have these kind of people on this planet.
